All-Terrain Wheelchair

Isn’t it frustrating when you can’t go outdoors simply because your wheelchair can’t take you there? The problem with conventional wheelchairs is that they will give up when you take them to places where the surfaces are rough like beaches and snow-covered roads. Fortunately, there are wheelchairs that are designed to withstand even the most difficult terrains.
An all-terrain wheelchair can take you to places where a standard wheelchair can’t. It can be used over grass, gravel, sand, and even slippery surfaces like ice-without getting damaged. That means if you love being outdoors, nothing can stop you from going to parks and beaches with an all-terrain wheelchair in tow.
Most wheelchairs designed for use in all terrains have a lightweight corrosion-resistant stainless steel frame. Some wheelchairs have hard plastic frame so that they can be easily disassembled and moved around, making them ideal for use in the beach and pools. Some of these plastic wheelchairs feature a reclining back where you can lay and sun bathe without leaving your wheelchair.

All-terrain wheelchairs are equipped with wide pneumatic tires that absorb shock to ensure a smooth ride. Because their tires are bigger than the standard ones, all-terrain wheelchairs can be easily pushed through in various surfaces, even in water. In contrast, conventional wheelchairs typically sink in loose soil, which makes the ride very uncomfortable for the user.

These wheelchairs also come with adjustable armrests, footrests, and seats. These wheelchairs feature castor-wheel angles designed for tight turns. For more convenience, you can add some accessories to the wheelchair such as replacement wheels, cup holders, or beach umbrella.

Before you buy an all-terrain wheelchair, make sure you test drive different models to check which one has the best mobility. Check if it can provide you with proper support. It should also be portable so that you can bring it with you anywhere without hassle.

Hello!I find what you write very interesting and helpful. I began connecting via Internet 15 years ago but just with e-mail to my overseas associates and pupils, about three years back I took an online course and got hooked. Your post made me notice that instinctively we look for individuals with our same views to share what we know and ask what we do not know.
